Postnatal Yoga with Baby in Hale, Northwich and surrounding areas

For mums 6 weeks to 12 months postnatal and their babies, following any kind of birth.

Postnatal Yoga with Baby is specifically designed for new mums to bring your body gently back to alignment, closing those overworked areas after pregnancy and birth, and supporting your journey in recovering strength and tone in a safe yet challenging way. Bring baby with you and we’ll integrate them into class with some baby yoga activities while you stretch and tone.  (Please note this class is not suitable for babies who are crawling or mobile.)

We focus on shoulders, upper back, lower back, core and integrate Birthlight Yoga’s deep pelvic floor toniing and ‘core strength’ micro-movements. Breathing and relaxation techniques will help you to re-balance, rejuvenate and re-energise for life with a new baby. No previous yoga experience is necessary.

Yoga poses and movements are given at varying levels to suit each individual. We work on gentle progression over the first 6 months postnatal to avoid long term problems of joint instability and hypermobility. This leads to a secure transition to stronger poses after 6 months and rejoining general yoga or other exercise classes.

Classes are very sociable and you will walk out feeling more balanced, stronger and refreshed.

First postnatal class today with my 7 week old & loved it.  Sarah was very welcoming and was great at including me and my little one no matter what was happening(baby niggles, feeding etc) It was great to meet the other mums and babies and definitely worth going to.  To sum up in three words… warm, professional, worthwhile.” Imogen and Joshua

I enjoy the class as it’s really relaxed so you can turn your focus to your baby’s needs and not feel like you’re disrupting the class! Sarah always finds ways to keep you involved whilst your dealing with your baby

A warm and welcoming environment with a fantastic teacher. I have really enjoyed postnatal yoga and started as a complete yoga novice with Sarah and have just re-enrolled for my next block. Sarah ensures classes are baby led so there’s no need to panic or feel like you’re missing out if your baby needs a feed or comforting. The classes have been a great way to unwind and focus on building back up to your pre-pregnancy self. My little girl will watch happily as I stretch and I’ve even had a few giggles from her as Sarah ensures your baby is involved as much as possible such as dangling scarves and tickles and tummy kisses as part of some of the yoga moves. Heartily recommended!
